Our Partners

The AAPI History Hub is an ongoing collective project funded by The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) and co-created with key partners and contributors. We are grateful for their collaboration in making AAPI history, together.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice | Chicago (AAAJ | Chicago) builds power through collective advocacy and organizing to achieve racial equity. They spearheaded advocacy efforts for the passage of the Teaching Equitable Asian American Community History (TEAACH) Act, the first bill to mandate the statewide teaching of Asian American history in public schools. As an anchor member of the TAAF-funded TEAACH Implementation Collaborative, AAAJ | Chicago created a wealth of TEAACH-related resources, including an Asian American Education Resource Database consisting of over 200 lesson plans and discussion guides.

The Social Studies Accelerator, powered by Education Leaders of Color, has a mission to accelerate the adoption of culturally sustaining social studies curriculum and teacher supports by connecting and supporting the ecosystem of diverse content creators, educators, and school systems. For the AAPI History Hub, the Accelerator developed rigorous practices to review and align high-quality curricular and professional learning materials to a shared taxonomy, leveraging input from an advisory committee of K-12 teachers and AAPI history scholars along with user testing and coding support from their Teacher Advisory Group. The Accelerator also provided guidance on strategic outreach and partnerships to amplify the Hub across K-12 practitioner networks, expand its offerings, and sustain its impact over time. Several of the Hub’s contributors are part of the Accelerator’s Content Creators Markets Matter (C2M2) learning lab.
